Throughout the KFFA history, the club has donated Items to all kinds of other events/clubs/schools. In 2025, the KFFA board decided that we wanted to do more to help out, Particularly with the Schools in the area that already had or were wanting to have a Fly Tying/FlyFishing program.
We reached out to several schools in the area that have or had programs. Kamloops School of Arts and Brock Secondary were the 2 schools that responded that said the would love out Help.
The KFFA donated $1000, The BCFFF donated $1000, Sport Fishing on the Fly TV show (Don & Dale Freshi) donated 2 HUGE totes of Fly Tying Materials, A few other friends of club members reached out, one donating $500 cash, the other 2 lake totes of materials. With the monies raised, the KFFA (Though a KFFA Member source) were able to order 20,000 hooks, 15,000 beads ad 18 fly tying Vises for these programs.
If it was not for the hard work of Rick Passek (VP) and Len Piggen (President) along with the above mentions clubs and indiviuals, this would not have happened. Thank you ALL!!
